FAQs
How do I sign up?
Book your space. Let us know you are coming (email us, tell us on FB, we may have sent a form, many options…).
How do I find you at Costanoa?
In 2027, we are moving our Community Gathering Space away from someone’s front door, to a more central location. You can find this new gathering space in Pine Village, between Tent Bungalows 72-74. Consider reserving a space near there, or just come find us when you are ready! Map of Costanoa
We will have a whiteboard onsite where you can find activity times (or add your own!) and where others are staying.
Can we do this again?
We would like to do this the weekend before Memorial Day (Thu – Sun) each year, mark your calendars!
Is there a space where interested ladies are communicating?
Yes, we have a private Facebook group. If you want to be added, please ask the person who invited you to the event to add you (if they aren’t on FB, have them contact Alicia or JKay).
Is this a ‘Burner’ event or something to do with Burning Man?
No. Some of us have been, many of us have not. Let’s be inclusive and talk about something else this weekend.
So is this just a big ol’ ladyass Costanoa takeover? And what is Costanoa anyway?
Kind of. After too many cries of, “We should get together!” We are doing exactly that.
Located on Highway 1, Costanoa is nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the rugged mountains of San Mateo County. Costanoa is a camp resort and lodge where you can experience tranquil natural beauty and delight in the laid-back pace of the California coast.
Does this have to be this ladies only?
The purpose of this roundup is to bring our ladies together to unwind, chill, and connect. Also, this is a public venue with many offerings to encourage everyone to have the time they want to have.
You may just want to take a a lot of naps with short spurts of social time in between.
What’s the food sitch?
Costanoa has a yummy three-meal restaurant serving large portions, full bar, and a wonderful general store with tasty food options (including many, many flavors of ice cream), along with beer and wine. There are more food options in Pescadero (15 minute drive). Impromptu potlucking will likely occur, bring something to share!
Many of us eat out 1-2 times per day.
Will there be organized activities?
Maybe! Costanoa offers some activities and we will probably do a beach walk. If you want to organize something for the group, awesome! You can talk about it on Facebook, or tell us about it onsite.
Do you have packing tips?
Good ideas: flashlight or other lights for navigation, camp chair, warm clothes, big coat, folding outside table for community gathering space (if it’s easy!).
Bungalow suggestions: extra blankets, extension cord, power strip (very few electrical sockets available), hat to sleep in (cold at night), inside/outside rugs (sandy), s hooks, rafter hooks, hanging shelves. Link to bungalow pictures and amenities (we usually stay in Pine Village or Outer Pine)
Feeling fancy?: decor, colored lights, colored pillows, blankets, and fabric to cover your windows, table cloth, Incense (+ holder), heater. Things that make you happy.
Potable Water, Sauna’s, and LNT!
There is potable water available at the bathrooms, and you can buy it in the general store. The store sells ice and firewood also.
Each bungalow bathroom area has a dry sauna that is nice to enjoy, sometimes people go with all their clothes on, it’s also handy to dry your hair after a shower.
Please help keep our gathering areas tidy, taking your food and supplies back to your house after any potlucking/gathering.
